Beast Invasion
Shelter
Book 2
He must become more powerful to protect his family. The invasion continues. He will fight.
Drew reunites with his family, but at great cost to his own body. Mortally wounded and bereft of power, he must now regain the strength he found and progress beyond the beasts surrounding him. But the use of cores is not without its dangers as he soon discovers.
With the help of Matt and his family, Drew aims to protect those he loves at all costs. To do so, he must venture into the depths of the city where anarchy reigns and the beasts are concentrated. Can he survive and progress fast enough to get his family and small band of friends to the safety of the mountains?
The thrilling second book of the World Destruction Trilogy in the Beast Invasion series from Timothy Nugent. Continue your journey into a post apocalyptic progression fantasy that contains a westernized version of cultivation. Join Drew as he follows a weak-to-strong progression into power, magical science, action, and light western cultivation, all told by a third person narrator from a single point of view. The series does not contain a harem, stats tables, or instructions on how to grow his power. Drew must experiment and learn it all on his own.

Definitely fun and entertaining throughout. The progression of everyone is nice. Our MC is learning to deal with the repercussions of his constant rampant usage of the cores. Neat addition of how different people experience these new abilities.

Book 2 was great! I really enjoyed it and am ready for book 3. Love the relationship between Drew and Matt. It's almost a father/son, or since Drew is now younger, a brother situation. Can't wait to find out how Jimmy does, what the core did, and what is ahead for them. Recommend

Enjoyed it, no long boring "how too" sections. Good age characterization. Believable characters. Would recommend and will read next book.

Pretty good story overall. MC cheat isn't that big, but def gives him a leg up. Story overall is pretty good and a different take to the normal LITRPG. no stats or system, more xianxia and wuxia cultivation style mixed with a western RPG type.

I was a huge fan of book one and absorbed this 2 days. The expansion of the world and seeing more is what make book 2 worth it.
