A quick-paced apocalypse and cultivation book. This story had me hooked, and I didn't want to put it down. The main character and his friends are all great, and the villains too. It is a spectacular end to the first part of the overall story. I'm excited to see what happens next.

Book 2 was great! I really enjoyed it and am ready for book 3. Love the relationship between Drew and Matt. It's almost a father/son, or since Drew is now younger, a brother situation. Can't wait to find out how Jimmy does, what the core did, and what is ahead for them. Recommend

Great read that you don’t want to put down! Starts with the introduction of the main character and then, bam right into action with alien creatures trying to break in the front door! I can visualize the story being told as if I were there. Each chapter had me hanging on to see what would happen next. Now I’m eagerly awaiting book two of the series!

These books set a pace that keeps you engaged at the edge of your seat over each encounter the protagonist survives somehow.... This book throws your brain in a blender and has you coming back for seconds!!!!! The overall story is gory and heartfelt with real world consequences for actions with a twist of making you really think about what if life turned into a video game on survival. Hats off to the author and please finish the trilogy. My sanity cant handle another amazing book going unfinished like Crystal rain was left abandoned.

Definitely fun and entertaining throughout. The progression of everyone is nice. Our MC is learning to deal with the repercussions of his constant rampant usage of the cores. Neat addition of how different people experience these new abilities.

Got sucked into the story immediately. Really like the two main characters. It is a fast-paced, interest-holding, exciting story. I quite enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read the next volumes. Recommend.
